Structure Of A Closed End Zipper

Structure Of A closed end zipper

A zipper is a device used for temporarily joining two edges of fabric or other materials by means of interlocking teeth. It is also sometimes referred to as a zip or a slide fastener. Zippers are commonly used on clothing, bags, and other items that need to be opened and closed frequently.

A closed-end zipper is a type of zipper where the two ends of the Zipper Tape are sewn or fused together, creating a solid stop at one end of the zipper. This type of zipper is also known as a bottom stop zipper or a finished zipper. Closed-end zippers are commonly used in applications where the zipper needs to be completely closed at one end, such as on the bottom of a jacket or the opening of a purse.

Closed-end zippers come in a variety of sizes, styles, and materials, and can be made with either coil or molded plastic teeth. They can also have different types of sliders, including auto-lock sliders that hold the zipper in place when closed, or non-lock sliders that allow the zipper to be opened and closed without locking. Closed-end zippers are often found in ready-to-wear garments and accessories, but can also be purchased separately for use in sewing projects.
