How Does Air-tight Zipper Work?

What's airtight zipper?

Airtight and watertight Zippers are designed to provide a seal that keeps out air, moisture, and other contaminants. These zippers are used in a wide range of applications, from outdoor gear to medical equipment.

Working principle of airtight zippers:

1) Its unique structural design and the materials used. The structure of this zipper is similar to a standard ordinary nylon zipper, including three basic components: joints, chain elements and textile fabrics.

2) With a waterproof layer (TPU film, thermoplastic polyurethane) with waterproof properties. TPU is coated on the textile fabric multiple times and is completely integrated with the fabric. This design allows the chain elements to bite tightly, and during the zipper closing process, the TPU film is tightly squeezed on both sides of the center seam, thus forming a double sealing effect, effectively preventing moisture and gas penetration, achieving waterproof and airtight purposes.
